That journey led us to the Braque d'Auvergne, a breed that has exceeded every expectation.
Our commitment is to preserve and improve this rare and noble breed through selective, responsible breeding. While the Braque d'Auvergne is one of the oldest continental pointing breeds, its rarity means that few breeders are truly focused on its development. Our Braque D'Auvergne
Our Braque D'Auvergne, Pepper, is an affectionate and intelligent versatile gun dog. She is high energy in the field and hunts at the edge of Gun range checking in often. She has had PennHIP Testing on her hips and OFA on elbows. She is NAVHDA Registered and ran in NAVHDA NA Test where she earned a 112pts.
In the house she has an off switch choosing to rest at the window or next to her people.
Why the Braque D'Auvergne?
The Braque d’Auvergne is an affectionate and intelligent pointer and overall versatile gun dog. This breed, despite their working history, does make a great family companion and is relatively easy to train. They are gentle and affectionate when home but when out in the field hunting they are intense and all business.
